Port of Toledo Transportation Growth Management Grant

On May 15, 2007 the Oregon Department of Transportation made a joint award to the Port of Toledo and the City of Toledo of $75,000 in the form of a Transportation Growth Management Planning Grant. ODOT has recognized the challenges of pedestrians crossing a truck route, three sets of rails, and difficult curbs between Toledo's Main Street and the waterfront area. This project is moving forward to ease access between the revitalized Main Street of Toledo and the Port of Toledo's marina and waterfront area. In the summer of 2011, the intersection of Main Street and Butler Bridge Road will be realigned, with new curbs, crosswalks and signage being added.
