And then he shows us how much fun kayaking is.

Once again, a great turnout of boats on display.

People of all ages enjoy a day on the water.

Richard Mitsch of Lebanon accepts his "People's Choice" award from Port Commissioner (and boat show MC) Chuck Gerttula.

The boat show's location on Depot Slough offers a protected and serene spot for sailing.

The first year "Family Boat Building" became a Toledo Boat Show tradition.

Under the direction of Master Boat Builders Rick Johnson and Carl Chamberlin, above left, participants build their own 9 1/2 foot boat.

Rick Johnson, right, helps supervise the family-fun event.

And then he helps families launch the brand-new boats on Sunday during the show.

Created by Carl Chamberlin, the "Nuf" design is made entirely from one sheet of marine plywood.
