2018 Toledo Wooden Boat Show Exhibitor & Vendor Registration is Open!

July 9, 2018

The Port of Toledo’s Wooden Boat Show is held annually on the 3rd weekend of August.  This is a free, family-friendly, weekend event to celebrate Toledo’s boat building heritage.  Wooden boats from through the northwest are on display ranging from kayaks and canoes to workboats and pleasure craft.  Featured events include Family Boat Building, Georgia Pacific’s Container Board Boat Contest, Kids Toy Boat Building, Poker Paddle and boat rides, kids activities, live music, food and vendor booths, as well as informational and historical exhibits.  The event is located at the Port’s Marina and Waterfront Park at the end of Toledo’s historic Main Street.

We are pleased to host the Northwest Steam Society’s Annual Steam Meet at this year’s show.  In addition to wooden steamboats, they will bring steamboats entered “in the spirit of tradition” as well as autos and other steam powered equipment.  Members of the Northwest Steam Society are enthusiastic about bringing their boats to Toledo to demonstrate their use of steam power. We look forward to hosting the NWSS members to Toledo’s and invite  everyone to come down and enjoy the fun!

Schedule of Events and Live Music

We hope to see you at our 14th Annual Wooden Boat Show, August 18 and 19, 2018. The Show continues to celebrate the historic tradition of wooden boats, and will host the Northwest Steam Society's annual meet this year. Classic vessels, unique owner-built boats, as well as the Port’s fleet of Teak Ladies will be on display. There will also be an excellent line up of live music to enjoy both Saturday and Sunday.

Family activities at the show include Family Boat Building where families will build their own Elegant Punts or Paddle Boards (pre-registration is required); playing in the poker paddle by borrowing a boat from the boathouse and collecting a poker hand; and participating in the Georgia Pacific Containerboard Boat Contest by building a cardboard boat. Kids can build their own boat models, play mini-golf, and shoot potato cannons with the pirates. There will also be vendor and food booths throughout the festival.

Please invite your family and friends to come to Toledo to enjoy the Show!
