The temporary closure of the Port of Toledo’s Launch Ramp has been extended

The temporary Closure of the Port of Toledo’s Launch Ramp has been extended. The Launch Ramp will be re-opened by May 25, 2019.

The Port of Toledo’s Launch Ramp at 128 Ramp Road, Toledo, Oregon was closed on April 29th for repair of the floating docks. Damage to the dock sections is more extensive than originally anticipated, requiring additional time for Port staff to make the repairs. The picnic area and restrooms will remain open to the public for day use only.

Port Manager Bud Shoemake acknowledges the Launch Ramp is popular facility for boaters and apologizes for any inconvenience the closure may cause, boats can be launched at Cannon Quarry, three miles upstream from the Port’s launch ramp. The Port of Toledo Boat Launch & Day Use Area is located on South Bay Road, next to the Toledo Airport. This facility is used by sport fishermen and recreational boaters year-round. There are no fees to use this public facility, but the Port requests that users be considerate and pick up after their pets and not dump household garbage.
