Emergency SMS Terms of Service

1. Program Description
This SMS program is used exclusively for emergency notifications to employees of Port of Toledo. Messages may include urgent safety alerts, facility closures, severe weather warnings, or other critical operational updates. No marketing or promotional content will ever be sent.

2. Consent
By providing your mobile number to HR, you consent to receive emergency text messages from Port of Toledo. These messages are informational and related to your employment and safety.

3. Opt-Out
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP or contacting HR at (541)336-5207. We will process opt-outs within 10 business days. Please note: opting out means you will not receive emergency alerts, which could impact your awareness of urgent safety information.

4. Help
For assistance, reply HELP or contact HR at (541)336-5207.

5. Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply from your carrier.

6. Privacy
Your mobile number will only be used for emergency notifications and handled according to our Employee Handbook - Communication and Software Systems- Cell Phone policy. It will not be shared or used for marketing purposes.

7. Compliance
We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), FCC regulations, and CTIA Messaging Principles.

• Consent is required for all messages.
• Opt-out requests will be honored promptly.
• STOP and HELP instructions will appear in messages.

8. Limitations
Delivery of messages may be delayed or prevented by factors outside our control (e.g., carrier issues). We are not liable for such delays.
