Notice of Dredging of Depot Slough and the Transient Dock
Posted August 1, 2023
The Army Corps of Engineers has contracted HME Constructions to dredge the Authorized Channel in Depot Slough. HME Construction will begin working in Depot Slough, August 1, 2023. The contractor will work around the Port’s Marina until after the Wooden Boat Show, August 19-20. Immediately following the Wooden Boat Show, Port crew will disassemble and remove the docks to facilitate dredging of the marina.
All vessels moored at the Marina will be removed by Wednesday, August 16th in preparation of the Wooden Boat Show and subsequent removal of the docks and boathouses. The docks and boathouses will be returned and reinstalled as soon as possible, after the completion of dredging. The Port anticipates vessels will be able to move back to our docks prior to September 15th.
The dredge sediment will be barged down river for ocean disposal on high tides. Please be aware of additional river traffic during this work period.
